Since the lowest 5% percent employees have to suffer adverse consequences, including firing, this system seems unfair to many and raises questions about Mayer’s policies. According to Forbes (2013), more than 600 employees were fired because they had gotten low scores in two quarters of appraisals, which does not necessarily mean that they were poor performers, only that there were others (possibly) better than them. The forced ranking system was adopted because of its claimed benefits of eliminating inflated ratings and proving as a check and balance system (Grote, 2005), but for Yahoo it appears to be more troublesome than beneficial. For example, I am writing this answer for a person, who is thousands of miles away from my place. It is only internet, which has made our life so comfortable and informative, you name any information, it is just a click away from you. For professionals and students, this new virtual world has become very useful, it is like a sea or information or a reference book, which is always on your fingertips. As I mentioned, everything has the other side, internet too has the other side or negative side, which could badly spoil anyone especially children, who are exposed to many unwanted information like obscenity, sex, violence etc. They also get addicted to many things like online games, cartoons etc, which led to the deviation from studies and behavioral change. At last, I would like to say that parent should always keep watch on their wards and must ensure that their child don’t get exposed to unwanted content on internet, parents’ can also use the child lock or block the websites, which have the explicit content. A substitute folder is an essential resource that all teachers should have prepared and clearly labeled on their desks in the event of an unexpected absence. It provides a substitute with a general plan for teaching your students on any given day and already contains all necessary materials so that all they have to do is execute your plans. On top of that, it should tell a sub everything they might need to know about your class and school. Read to find out what to include in your substitute folder. What to Include in Your Substitute Folder The contents of a substitute folder vary by teacher but the most useful ones include the following general items. Class List and Seating Chart Provide a class list for your substitute and place a star next to any students that you know they can go to for help. In addition, leave a copy of the class seating chart clearly labeled with names and any important information about each child. Attach any food allergies and pertinent medical information to these. Rules and Routines Include a copy of your daily routine and class schedule. Give the substitute information about attendance, your methods for collecting student work, restroom policies, consequences of misbehavior, dismissal routines, and so on. Include important schoolwide policies such as tardy procedures and lunch/playground rules as well. Emergency Procedures and Drills Include a copy of any and all school emergency procedures—dont assume that something wont come up.
